My inadequacies as a parent played like a broken record in my mind.
I pulled myself from bed this morning to study and came across these comforting words spoken by M. Russell Ballard: "Be of good cheer. God did not place you on earth to fail, and your efforts as parents will not be counted as failure unless you give up."
So take that Satan. And leave me alone tonight . . . I'm tired.

Jodi, you are one of the strongest people I know. I am envious of the way you look at life and how you are able to take the peace that is offered in statements like this and use it in your life. Thanks for sharing the peace you found.
You always know how to say things just right. Don't be hard on yourself, you are an awesome mom, one I look up to... and not because I'm short. Sleep well tonight!
Can that be a more gorgeous picture of you and your darling family? Hang in there... I know that Satan works double time when you are doing what you should be doing and living the way that our Heavenly Father asked you to. Have peace in that.
"Take that Satan." I'm gonna make that my new motto.
Been there...often...as we talked about. I love you.
