Thankful to be dysfunctional again

So good to be back into a book that makes me turn out the lights after midnight and sneak "just a few pages" in the next morning before waking the children. I've warned my husband that this is a "forget to feed the kids" and maybe even a "forget to get dressed for the day" kind of book. Would someone mind calling the compassionate service leader and lining up a meal for my family -

Have you read an
"oops, I forgot to be an active member of society today"
book lately?

P.S. Is there anyone else on the face of the planet who had a difficult time getting through "Three Cups of Tea"? It was Three Cups of Long for me as Greg was a difficult personality for me to follow. While I was glad he was out helping the world I felt sorry for his wife and children. Being an active husband and father . . . now that's a great way to change the world. It's all about experiencing the adventure together.

I agree with your view on 3 Cups of Tea. A great leader will always delegate assignments to others, and/or bring in other people to aid in projects. Definitely felt like his wife and family got the shaft, as did his own health and well-being. Plus, there was so much mention of bureaucracy in the book, which also slowed it down for me--timo

3 cups was a good book, and very interesting, however I will be honest I didn't finnish it. I probablly had about 75 pages left of the book and sadly that doesn't bother me.

I have been trying to read 3 cups of Tea for about 4 months now. I haven't even gotten to the village to build the school yet.

Maybe that will be one of my New Year's resolutions.

THESE IS MY WORDS is on my favorite book list. I started the sequel, SARAH's QUILT, but only got a chapter or so in when life got too hectic. Something to look forward to.

Will I EVER be that focused into a book? You are like the kid under the blanket during the storm in 'The Never Ending Story'!

You're definitely your father's daughter! You could both sail away for hours....

Society will miss you.

That is sure a good book. My husband even liked it. "Hunger Games" and "Catching Fire" have been the books keeping me from society.
