We were sitting in a darkened kitchen with only the chandelier above lighting the paperwork spread before us. Never, Sometimes, Often, Almost Always. These were the possible answers as we read over 270 searching questions concerning our child. We had successfully put off the questionnaires for two weeks but we could avoid it no longer. We circled the appropriate N's, S's, O's and A's for the next forty minutes when finally we were left with one last page, the Home Questionnaire.
1. What are the Primary Concerns for your student?
2. At what age did you first notice problems in the areas you listed above?
ooh. look. a mosquito.
Brandon grabs it out of mid air, shakes his fist back and forth wildly, and throws the dizzy insect down on the table, junior high style.
I pick up two pens in perfect Mr. Miyagi chopstick form and work at tweezering the bug off of the partially completed paperwork.
3. Is there a family history of behavior/emotional problems? If yes, please describe the conditions and relation to the student.

ps.... remember our talk yesterday. These amazing children and (adults My 28 year old sister)are soooo important to the people around them. Who is to say that it is not us who need improvement, understanding, learning, guidance, spiritual greatness around us. After 28 years of living with Trish... MY life is greater BECAUSE OF HER. The paperwork will never stop (my mom still does it for her.... SSN etc) by the HUGS never stop either.
Keep your chin up. My Mom, in ANY aspect that you may need her, is there for you. Just call her or I would be happy to with you to her home. Love you always.
At least you can blame your husband for ALL the problems in your life, emotional & behavioral. Sweet.
