She stopped by to see my new, lime green adirondack chairs, the ones she had told me about because she knew I would love them. We were standing on the deck, my four children milling about us, when she turned to me with wide eyes and said "Someone is missing."
"I know. There is." I answered, intrigued but not surprised that she could sense what I had been sensing privately for years.
