Thank you for your recent comment on my better than average self portrait skills. I have been honing them for approximately thirteen years now. I take self portraits for two reasons:

I want my posterity to remember that they really did have a mother (absent from most photos of important events due to designated role as photographer).

I don't necessarily want to know how other people see me.

When we went to Yellowstone Park with Aunt Janet and I was about 8 and you were a really cool 14ish, I wanted to be just like you. In every picture I tried to stand just like you, smile just like you, look just like you. Now I'm about 30 and you're a really cool 31ish, I want to write just like you, take pictures just like you, look just like you, and parent just like you. (And play the guitar just like Brandon.)
