My dad was a soccer coach in our younger years. He still talks about the perfect season he had with "The Squirrels." They won 1/3 of the games, tied 1/3 of the games and lost 1/3 of the games. The perfect season indeed.
Tonight our Pinewood Derby racers won some races and lost some races.
We couldn't have been more proud,
Our 10 year old insisted on using his Pinewood Derby car from two years ago. It hasn't won a single race, but it did win the title of "Best Paint Job" and a king size candy bar the first year he raced it. It reminded me of the year he won Best Overall Costume for his Gladiator outfit at the neighborhood Halloween Carnival (I'm reasonably sure they thought he was supposed to be Nephi). He wore it three years straight after that. I love that boy.
