He was crying and screaming

and soon I was reduced to tears as well.

"You can cry as much as you want to," he yelled "but I talk weird, I am not cute, I am not a good friend, I don't have autism and you are NOT my mom!"

He was right. I could cry as much as I wanted to and so could he for that matter but the tears were getting us nowhere quickly. I wiped my cheeks dry, pulled him close and asked him to tell me about her.

She's a blonde haired beauty that dwells somewhere in Ohio. She has turquoise eyes and skin similar to mine he says. She likes to wear yellow and green and she's happy and funny and she loves to laugh. She gets upset sometimes but she always reads him stories at night. She sounds like a lovely lady really. He agreed to let me meet her someday.

Until then I will do her the favor of raising her little blonde haired boy -
the one that doesn't have autism.

Day 1

We started the dairy free, gluten free diet today. It is temporary but necessary. The family is grumbling and so is my stomach but we are desperate to help our Nick.

I'm so sorry you are struggling. Sometimes life is not fair. Good luck w/the new diet...I know several people who do it and they say it works well. It's a lot of hard work but everything worthwhile is hard. Dang it!

Good luck with the diet! We have friends that are allergic to gluten and I always struggle to figure out what to feed them when they come over. And it always includes dairy! That sounds tricky.

Did you know the new bakery in kaysville not sugar daisy's but the other one with the word "Sweet" in it is is across from wingers. They make gluten free deserts and they are good! And she makes gulten free flour that she might sell if you ask! I will stop by there tomorrow and buy nick a treat he deserves it and so do you for being such a good mom.
