His soccer game was full of screaming,
knocking down the goal, running off the field
and yelling "you're not my friend" at teammates and opponents alike.
When the clock struck 2:00
his happy self magically returned
just in time for his baptism
(thankful for Sam, former soccer foe, now true blue friend)
Mothers Day morning brought homemade cards, hand picked cards,
handmade gifts and more "U R Awesome!" than any mother is worthy of.
When the honeymoon wore off
Nick packed his belongings into a basket:
reading lamp, piggy bank, water bottle, pinewood derby car,
the latest lego magazine and his Book of Mormon
"You're welcome to run away after church"
I said handing him his khakis.

But he didn't.
I guess he decided that salmon and garlic mashed potatoes
sounded better than pine cones and water skeeters.
All in all it was a wonderfully memorable weekend,

I worry that I've been inundating you with autism as of late, that I may be sounding about as whiny as Bella Swan and for that I apologize.
My intent is only to document.
I find it a wonderful distraction.

Did Brandon dye his hair white just for the baptism? Isn't getting older a blast??
Congrats on the baptism! You need to document...this is your life.
we had a baptism at our house this saturday also. no wonder it was such a magical day!
your bella swan reference was classic.
We like the real stuff. It's why we love you. You're real! (And if people are inundated, they can go read something plastic somewhere else. There are about 200,000,000 other blogs to choose from, although, some of them aren't in English.)
It was very memorable indeed. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Bella Swan..you crack me up!!!!
Jodi.....can I tell you how often I think of you and how your blog touches all of the soft spots in my heart? I'm with Nick....I thought about running away last week too. I stayed for a ham sandwich and little boy kisses from Ryley and Ben...I'm glad I stayed.....
