Oh. Wait. You can't see them.
BECAUSE SOMETHING ATE THEM!
Birds, deer, slugs, raccoons -
We have large families of each subsisting in our yard.
Our neighbor said it's those darn coons.
I googled how to kill them.
My husband googled how to relocate them.
He's a do-gooder.
----------------------------------------This photo was taken during the patriotic program yesterday. Not before. Not after. DURING. These kids are cooked. Summer needs to get here.
----------------------------------------
Speaking of cooked -
a frog was dissected virtually on my laptop yesterday in preparation for the real deal on Friday. A speech was written, photos were printed, CPR instructions for adults and children were typed up, a teacher appreciation gift was assembled (a month late), scout forms were filled out and returned, 200 hot dogs, buns and bags of chips were purchased for a fundraiser, a run to the scout store, the distribution center, the grocery store, the lawn was mowed, a golfer was registered, a lunch was packed for the next day's field trip, pillows and blankets for movie day, piano was practiced, a neighborhood paint project = cleaning every paint brush we own. The day just went on, and on, and on.
Today's to-do list is longer.
----------------------------------------
I cleaned our keyboard.
The main dash doesn't work anymore.
Neither does the volume down key.
Or the mute key.
Oops.
----------------------------------------
My birthday bike is the BEST!
Unless you take it any further than the edge of the neighborhood.
Then it makes your legs feel like they're going to fall off.
Best suited for visiting friends in the hood.
------------------------------------------
Sometimes I really miss my long hair
and my dog.

I really, really, really (infinity) love talking with my Back East, Canadian, Washingtonian cousin. We're cut from the same fabric but she's much more articulate at expressing my/her feelings. She's thoroughly enjoyable to me.
So now that we've got all that cleared up,
