Sometimes when I have a lot to do

I do nothing at all
and when it comes down to crunch time
I get really stressed
and then I'm not very fun to be around.

It's crunch time.

When I was a child my mother used to insist on a clean house before leaving on vacation. "A clean house? But we're not even going to be here!" I would complain as I pushed the vacuum back and forth. All these years later I finally understand.

How does your pre-vacation routine play out?

I would take a couple of days of stress for a week in paradise!

Hope you have a fabulous time AND come home to a clean house!

I usually do the same amount of stuffing as that picture, except it's in the privacy of my own closet. And it's me stuffing myself into my swimming suit. I need to know if I should pack the one I really want to wear or the one made out of sweat pants material. After that sweatty routine is over, then I spend a lot of time looking at maps and airplanes to make sure everyone involved knows how to get where we are going. (That's the reason men never ask for directions, they've studied already.) Then I make sure I have the essentials - Smoking Hot Wife? Check. Adorable, freshly haircut kids? Check. Plenty of music and sun lotion? Check.

Thats all I need.

I'm totally the same there is nothing better than coming home to a clean house and clean sheets! (I think this helps with the "I'm home from vacation, now back to the real world" depression)

I hire Yollanda to come before and after!!! It seems to help on the stress a little for me I find! :)

I make lists of things I need to pack and things I need to do. I also like to make sure the house is clean. I don't want to come home to a messy house. I'll still have laundry to do when I get back and I don't want to make more work for myself. Where are you going? Have fun!

Not only am I stressed out before we leave, I'm usually exhausted when we return and feel like I need a post-vacation vacation. Go figure.
