• keeping up with old friends
• ease in communicating with a group

• time sucker
• draws us away from the people that matter most
• draws us away from the here and now
• self worth somehow becomes involved
• skewed reality 
• addictive

We attended Nick's parent teacher conference Monday (minus Nick).  His teacher was long faced as she delivered the news that he is struggling to keep up academically.  I wanted to be sad until I thought back to a silent little boy whose only means of communicate was sign language.  A little boy with limited eye contact and minimal interest in the world about him.  No room for sadness.  This kid ROCKS!

Sunday at church we were challenged to think about something that helps us remember Christ.

Nick.  Nick helps me remember Christ.

Mullet no more.  It was a member of our family for many, many months but it has gone back to the 80's where it felt more at home.
