I was thinking . . .

My friend asked this morning who doesn't want to be the best at everything.  Um, me.  I'm pretty cool with mediocracy.

This afternoon I was eating a child size scoop of Ben & Jerry's Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road as I watched my young ones run through the fountains at the Gateway.  A female artist's rendition of God Bless America was playing over the loud speakers and my heart swelled to ten times it's normal size with adoration for Utah, America and the world as a whole.

I had a fabulous dinner with my Texas friend this evening.  Earlier this month I enjoyed the company of my Arizona friend, my Idaho friend and my Mississippi friend.  I appreciate friendships that are unaffected by time and distance.

Tonight as I was walking my oversized hair ball we walked through a "cool spot."  You know, when the temperature suddenly drops 20 degrees for a moment.  Mmmm.  I love that.

Mediocracy.... sorry, you exceed it! So I missed you Tuesday with Chris. Root canal just had to be fixed. I missed our chats though. We'll catch up again.

You are anything but mediocre! Mother, Wife, Daughter, Woman, Teacher, Friend, Disciple you excel at all including humility.
