apparently there is a problem with flying pencils
and it has something to do with my son.
I feel a little depressed
a little tired at the prospect of discussing it with him
as I know it will only cause him to bury his face in hands
chin trembling in silence, until all at once the floodgates will open
releasing his frustrations of the day, of the year, of his life.
And then I read this:
Just knowing I'm not in it alone
makes such a difference,

It's amazing how lonely our trials can be, even though we know we aren't alone. Hang in there!

Awesome article. It's hard to understand what it must be like to have a child with autism. You and other parents like you are great awareness advocates. Thanks for teaching us. :)
