I stated as our heavy laden minivan
popped a wheelie on its ascent up the canyon
There were tempestuous, black storm clouds waiting for us
sage brush and small animals flying past the car
Wizard of Oz style
two hours later
we had concluded that every camp site in Northern Utah
was reserved or already inhabited
so we set up camp
in grandma & grandpa's backyard
where the amenities are always remarkable
After a big breakfast of pancakes,
freshly picked blackberries and bacon
we set out for the lake
and we were having a wonderfully relaxing time
until the gale force winds blew in
we returned home
unpacked
showered
relaxed
and then my sweetheart and I snuck away for some alone time
it was wonderful
until our car was side swiped
we finished our adventurous date in pajamas
with double stuff oreos
while watching movie trailers
"It has been a good weekend" I chuckled as I cuddled into his side.
A good weekend indeed.

Sounds like you had a great time regardless of the weather. Even if the weather has been unpredictable, the sky has been amazing! I am so sorry about your car.
This why we camp at hotels.
forget about the camping and bad weather...did you miss the part where your car got swiped?? man that would have ruined more than a weekend for me! man you guys do look on the brighter side of life...need to learn that talent....or there must have been something in those double stuff oreos :)
