I allowed myself to become offended,
negative and critical
(not referring to a specific incident,
referring more to a state of mind)
and one day the reflection in the mirror
was unrecognizable.
I was surprised and saddened.
But after contemplating this for awhile
I remembered that I have the ability to change
and make different choices,
to worry less about myself
and more about others
and that makes me happy.
Thank goodness for do-overs,
"It is reported that President Brigham Young once said
that he who takes offense when no offense was intended is a fool,
and he who takes offense when offense was intended is usually a fool."

Most of the time, it seems. Everyone that deserves the most credits..allows themself the very least. Im glad that you were alloted a "do-over". U deserve to see yourself.
It's hard for me to believe that could possibly be true of you, but thanks for posting this. I think we all need a reminder!
