in a nutshell

i am thankful for good food, good friends, good music, a good read and a good nights sleep. i am thankful for good teachers, good neighbors, a good home, and a quaint hometown. i am thankful for the right to vote, free agency and second chances. i am thankful for motherhood. it fights against the selfishness that comes so naturally. i am thankful for autism. it forces me to change. i am thankful for long kisses, long talks, long car rides, long relationships. i am thankful to love and be loved. i am thankful for conflict and resolution, for extended family and close proximity. i am thankful for humor, for safety, for euphoria, for brandon. i am thankful for religion, for dedication, for service. i am thankful for the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. i am thankful for the bible and the book of mormon- the greatest parenting tools and self help books. i am thankful to know my savior, jesus christ. i am thankful that he's coming back someday. i wish it were today.
i could go on forever . . . but i won't
because it's time to reclaim this portion of my every day.

thank you for 22 months of insightful, humorous,
thought provoking and encouraging comments ~

Saying goodbye on a blog is a lot like turning off a lightswitch. It's just so easy to flip off, but then it sits on your wall enticing you to turn it back on everytime you walk by. And it's just as easy to flip it up as it was to flip it down. I'll miss you until the summer time or until your local relations that get all your time decide to share you with your Canadian cousin, or until you can't resist the switch temptation anymore and you flip it on for just a moment.

Thank you for sharing all your personal feelings these 22 months. Yes, feel free switch back on once in a while. I'll still be here. Your experience with life is so real and your descriptions of life somehow make my life feel lighter. Thanks, sister!

Just don't say 'never'. Some people can say in a few words and priceless pictures what many of us feel.

It's a gift. And it brightens our days.
