It's shallow but I'm saying it . . .

One of my favorite things about Christmas
is getting Christmas cards

that's right, I love the getting

I love receiving pictures of those we love
and hanging their smiling faces on my wall
to enjoy all season long

it makes me happy
and speaking of cards
It was my younger sisters turn
to choose what our family gift would be this year.

Letters.
Hand written letters.
18 grandkids
10 adults
Christmas monkey on my back.

but we finally got them written
and we started receiving them in the mail
and I realized (once again) that she is brilliant.

The gift of time.
The gift of words.
The giving of ourselves.

ahh, how I love this season,

It's not shallow, I love the cards too! In fact, Steve and I have a "contest" about who has the most friends based on christmas cards. Lot's of fun! Merry Christmas!

I love cards too. We had a bundle of them waiting for us when we got home from Florida. They make me Happy as well.

The hand written letters are a terrific idea.... maybe next year.
