Ok, I admit, Facebook hasn't been around forever
but I've had zero interest in it since it's conception.

So now my 13 year old has signed on
and I do want to be a proactive parent,
I'm just so conflicted about taking the plunge.

You betcha! I skipped my 5 year and I think the farther away from HS you get, the less you're expected to show up. (Or did I just make up that rule?)
