Hard to be him

I gave my 14 year old and his friend a lift to school early this morning. As they exited the car something clattered unnoticed to the pavement below. While I was pulling away I glanced in my rear view mirror and noticed the friend's cell phone lying in pieces on the asphalt. I pulled my grocery getter over to the cherry red curb, gathered up the scraps and sprinted inside. As I hurried down the hall I spotted my son rustling around in his locker. He had just glanced in my direction when a look of recognizable terror crossed his face. An audible noise escaped his lips, a contorted sound somewhere between "oh" and "eww." It was unmistakable, my presence in his junior high surroundings was mortifying. If he thinks that's embarrassing . . .

wait until his friends see this little ditty on their television screens:

That's right.
Your mom and dad are kissing.
ON TV!

The production company who filmed the commercial is responsible for over half of these ads. Our family loves cuddling into the big red sofa with a double serving of ice cream and watching them for family night. Check them out.

Hip, Hip Hooray!! I love it all. A little bit of everyone, (including Murphy) Brandon as the perfect narrator saying all the sweet things about you, and especially you at the end turning around and looking a tiny bit shy and nervous, but so beautiful and in love.

It was the perfect casting, after all. It made me cry. You will make them millions.

p.s.Except they better fix the spelling of your name, or else that would be a forever "bug".
