My son was reading over my shoulder yesterday as I was posting about the haircuts. He asked me about some of the strange expressions on the boy's faces as I was looking through the pictures. "They have autism," I said.
He asked me what autism is. I gave him a few simple facts and ended by telling him it brings people closer to Heavenly Father.
"Am I closer to Heavenly Father?" he asked as he climbed up on my lap taking my face in his hands.
"Yes Nick. You're closer to Heavenly Father."
"Are you, papa, Brayden, Matt and Allie closer to Heavenly Father?"
"We are because of you Nick."
I think my son just asked me if he has autism.

That's tough but you did it the best way possible. They may not have perfect bodies or minds but they have perfect spirits.
You amaze me. That is such a beautiful moment. Thank you for sharing.
Whoever caught the picture caught it just right. That 'triumphant warrior' run must have followed a goal! One of life's great moments of shared elation captured in time.
You make me laugh and you make me cry.
I'm teary. Sweet Nick. Sweet Ross family.
Trish would always climb into bed at night with my mom and start to ask questions...My mom always says that Trish comes alive at night.:)
I think your tender moment with Nick is a special one and you handled it just preciously.
I love this picture Jodi. It says so much. What a precious little boy.
